POPMOLLAN PBOL

Concentrated wetting & scouring agent for improving absorbency of textiles during pretreatment.

PROPERTIES :

APPEARANCE : Yellowish pourable paste.

pH of 5% SOLUTION : 8 – 10.

SOLUBILITY : Infinitely soluble in water.

FOAMING : Moderate.

STABILITY : Stable to hard water, usually encountered acids &

Alkalis, reductive and oxidative bleaching agents.

STORAGE STABILITY : 6 months when stored in sealed containers at 25ºC.

SAFETY :

When POPMOLLAN PBOL - is used as per normal current practice, no ill effects are expected. According to our latest knowledge POPMOLLAN – PBOL does not cause any harmful effect on health, provided that it is used properly & due attention is paid to the precautions necessary for handling chemicals.

FEATURES

Excellent wetting and detergency with an emulsifying action for removing oily and
waxy impurities from textiles and improve their absorbency during pretreatment
resulting in cleaner fabrics and better dye uptake.
In higher concentrations POPMOLLAN – PBOL has stain removing properties.

Does not impair enzyme activity.

Stable to the usual bleaching agents such as Sodium Chloride, Hydrogen Peroxide,

Hypochlorite Bleaches etc.

Useful in washing and carbonizing of wool.

APPLICATION :

1) ENZYME DESIZING :

Xg/l Enzyme

1-3 g/l. common Salt

2-5 g/l POPMOLLAN – PBOL

Temp : 70ºC

Time : About 4 to 6 hrs., wash off at 80-95ºC.

Use of about 0.25-0.5 g/l. Soda Ash in scalding wash gives better results.

2) SCOURING

1-3 g/l. POPMOLLAN – PBOL

Alkali as required

Temp. 70-90ºC

For textiles contaminated with oily stains, use 10-20 g/l. of POPMOLLAN – PBOL.

3). BLEACHING :

Use 1-3gm/l.POPMOLLAN – PBOL alongwith other chemicals as required.

4). WASHING OF SYNTHETIC FABRICS

0.5-2gm/l. POPMOLLAN – PBOL

0.25-2.0 gm./l. Soda Ash

Temp.: 70-90ºC

5). WASHING OF WOOL AND WOOL BLENDS

0.3-0.5% o.w.f. POPMOLLAN- PBOL

pH : 8-9

Temp : 30º C-40ºC

6) STAIN REMOVAL

Treat with 5-10% solution of POPMOLLAN-PBOL

7). ONE BATH DESIZING, SCOURING, DYEING OF POLYSTER

Treat with 1-2 gm.l. POPMOLLAN - PBOL.

Temp: 80ºC

Time : 30 Mnts.

Then bring the pH to 4 with Acetic Acid without draining the bath. Add dyestuff and other required auxiliaries and dye as usual.
